An End of Summer Message from the Trustees

It's been another busy few months at BLYM, with a fantastic summer of on water activities! Our summer programme has been an immense success, with our young instructors delivering an incredible programme of courses and activities for young people. Over 1,000 people attended our summer courses and events, supported by our volunteer instructor team giving their time to make it happen.

Our courses are about much more than simply learning to sail, they provide an opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, make friends and develop a lifelong connection with the water. Just as importantly, the programme provides our young volunteer instructors with critical opportunities to develop their own leadership, teaching and organisational skills. Watching these young people step up, take responsibility and inspire the next generation of sailors is one of the things that makes BLYM such a special organisation.

A huge thank you to all of our instructors and volunteers who have made this summer such a success.
